Computer Classes

Note on Computer Lab Usage: 

  • When using the computer in the Adult Computer Lab, if more time is needed, make sure to ask before time is up. All work will be lost once time runs out.
  • The computers in the Lab turn off 15 minutes before closing time. Weekdays at 6:45 p.m. and Saturdays at 3:45 p.m. 

Computer Programs

Classes on basic computer use and programs are held on a monthly schedule. Classes are held in the Computer Lab and are limited to 16 students per class. Classes meet on Tuesdays either from 10 to 11 a.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. You may sign up for one day or multiple days, as you need. Days and dates are not absolute(s) until you register. If you are interested in any of these classes, please fill out one registration form for the class you wish to start with using the links below. Please be patient as we work to get you into a class as fast as we can. You must have been registered and contacted in order to come to class. In February...

Need a way to keep track of your schedule or budget? Learn how to organize your data with Microsoft Excel. The Huntsville Public Library is offering free Microsoft Excel 2010 Classes for beginners! One-hour classes will be held Tuesdays in February. Morning classes will be held from 10 - 11 am and evening classes will be from 5 - 6 pm. The course will cover subjects such as making a new file, data entry, cell formatting, formulas, and manipulating a finished table. A library card is required to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID! Adults 17 and older can register for classes below.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office course includes classes for Word 2010, PowerPoint2010, and Excel 2010. When you sign up for Microsoft Office, you will start with Word 2010 and work your way through Excel 2010. Students that have newer computers and Office 2013 will be given guides similar to the 2010 Guides, so students can practice class material at home.
